					Scottsdale Providence has changed my life for the better. I was a bit skeptical before I came in since I have gone to rehab before, but the difference between the first time and now are like night and day. The staff is highly trained and the complete opposite of pompousity. The BHTs and clinical staff are on the same level as everyone and I have found a family here. There are a variety of AA/CA meetings to attend and mental health meetings as well. I came in as dual diagnosis (mental health & substance abuse) and they have gone above and beyond with meeting my needs and showing me that sobriety and self-care is the pinnacle of a healthy, fulfilling life. 					Scottsdale Providence saved my life. As a lifelong drug addict I didn’t feel that there was much hope. I thought it was going to be awkward being a bit on the older side at 48, but neither preconceived notion was true. The staff at the residential house was warm and inviting. They reassessed and modified my medications which made me feel so much better. The staff immediately formed a treatment plan taking into account my goals. The group sessions are amazing and include everything from cutting edge therapy, traditional therapy, yoga, meditation, and daily check ins. The ono on one sessions are with highly skilled and compassionate therapists who use a variety of techniques. Once leaving residential and stepping down to PHP at the treatment center the amazing care continues. The group sessions are intense and very engaging. The one on one sessions continue to be facilitated by highly skilled therapists. Many of the staff are in recovery themselves. They treat everyone equally no matter what race, sect, political views, pronouns, religion, rich, poor, old, and young. I suffered a horrific family tragedy that occurred while I was still in treatment. The SPRC staff swooped in and offered me all the help and extra therapy I needed. They modified my treatment plan to account for this change. They even helped me get my affairs in order. And now that I’m a few days from completion, they have made sure everything I need to be successful is in place. From amazing facilities to having the very best staff, this place is second to none. It isn’t just a country club, they push you to work towards your goals and keep close eye on your progress. If you want to sit in a pool and have your hand held for 90 days, this is not the place. If you are serious about getting well and ready to put on the work, SPRC is the only choice in Phoenix.  -

					I have been a client at SPRC since the end of May 2025. This place honestly saved my life. I was in the PHP house for my first 2 months, and while there were hard days, I could not be more grateful that I stayed. SPRC taught me not just how to sit with discomfort, but how to thrive in it. Before coming here, I was hopeless. I did 3 weeks at a residential treatment center in Tucson before I was booted due to insurance. Alex and the other staff at SPRC were incredibly gracious with my financial situation; they look at the clients as real people rather than numbers. Each therapist here made me feel cared for and understood in both groups and individual sessions. Working with Denise has expanded my view of past traumas and how those affect my decisions and actions today, and she has facilitated so much healing of my inner parts. Dr. Sarah and her OT team helped me significantly with understanding my underlying neurodivergence. If you are debating coming here or sending your loved one here, I can attest to it being an extremely compassionate, fun-loving, and respectful community. The people I’ve met here have become a family to me, so much so that I decided to return for IOP after taking time out of state. 					5 years ago I stepped into SPRC and if I’m honest I had no confidence in myself and didn’t think I would make it. I did A LOT of self sabotage while there. I had already been kicked out of two other rehabs in the past and Dan could have very easily kicked me out for multiple stunts I pulled there… but he didn’t. They didn’t give up on me and I kept pushing forward. On Friday I just celebrated 5 years sober and free. 					I have had experience with multiple treatment centers, both professionally and as a client. I can say with certainty that Scottsdale Providence goes above and beyond the industry standard. From admissions (especially Michelle) to BHTs (especially Sebastian and Audra), case manager Lauren, administration, to the medical staff and therapists (all of them!), you will find a team who cares deeply about your healing. They do what other treatment centers promise, by providing a multifaceted and interdisciplinary approach. Staff are accessible and supportive, and support a unique culture of healing, where clients feel heard and motivated for treatment. Their OT, Dr. Sarah, helped me to finally receive an accurate diagnosis, which had been missed by every other provider in the past. I will be forever grateful for my time spent at SPRC. Experience Leading Mental Health & Substance Abuse Treatment

Our intensive outpatient services in Scottsdale offer a balance of structure and flexibility through personalized therapy and ongoing support. We offer morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend options to fit different schedules and needs. Each outpatient program is tailored to the individual, including support for depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and co-occurring disorders, helping people heal while staying connected to their lives.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Engage in comprehensive daytime treatment from 9 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon, with an hour lunch break, offering a structured but flexible approach to care.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Attend focused therapy sessions for 3 hours a day, available in morning slots (9-12) or afternoon (1-4), providing a concentrated dose of support and therapy.

Standard Outpatient (OP)

The client participates in individual and/or group counseling for 4 to 6 hours a week. This type of treatment program enables people to receive the care they need while they work and meet their day-to-day responsibilities.

EVENING INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM (E-IOP)

Attend structured evening treatment from 5:30 to 8:30 PM in a supportive group setting designed to help you strengthen recovery, build connection, and stay engaged in daily life.
